Ostatnie obrady synodu biskupów na temat sytuacji rodziny we współczesnym świecie doprowadził do zamieszania wokół pojęcia komunii duchowej. Powodem tej sytuacji są dwa punkty dokumentu końcowego, które miały być żywo dyskutowane w trakcie obrad.
